On January 28th and 29th, 2026 the MADE in Myanmar project will host the next edition of the project's annual MADE Buyers Forum. This conference is organised by sequa gGmbH and EuroCham Myanmar and is funded by the European Union.

January 28th will be a smaller format "roundtable" style meeting with approximately 50 total participants. Guest speakers include representatives of the European Union, the International Labour Organisation, the World Bank and selected local specialists working in the Myanmar garment industry. This is reserved for retailers/buyers, to share experience on strengthening responsible business conduct in supply chains and on conducting effective human rights due diligence with suppliers in Myanmar. As of Dec. 5th, 2026, 28 buyers have already registered, collectively representing 18 international fashion and apparel retailers. We encourage others to register no later than December 12th for priority seating. There is no cost to participate and retailers do not need to be members of MADE to join this meeting.

January 29th is a wider meeting with a much larger audience of stakeholders, especially over 140 garment and footwear factory managers, numerous civil society organizations and business associations, as well as retailers, embassies and industry service providers (legal, logistics, etc.) The MADE Buyers Forum in 2025 hosted 300 unique participants and we anticipate a similar level of attendence for the meeting on January 29th, 2026.

Wyndham Grand Hotel, Yangon is the venue for this year's meetings. A welcome reception for buyers is also being arranged on the evening of January 28th, with details available to registered participants.
