Effective Grievance Handling at Workplace Training (Batch -1)

MADE is pleased to announce the upcoming Effective Grievance Handling at Workplace Training, designed to support factories in strengthening workplace grievance mechanisms and enhancing their capacity to address worker concerns in a fair, transparent, and effective manner.

The training will be facilitated by Sanlatt Phyu, former Country Manager of Fair Wear Myanmar and an experienced practitioner in workplace dialogue, grievance mechanisms, and responsible business conduct.

Training Overview

Effective grievance handling is essential for building trust between workers and management, preventing workplace disputes, and promoting compliance with international labour standards. This practical two-day training will equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to receive, investigate, document, and resolve workplace grievances while ensuring appropriate safeguarding measures are in place.

Participants will gain practical tools and approaches to strengthen factory grievance systems in line with international expectations and good practices.

Key Learning Areas

  • Understanding workplace grievances and identifying root causes of recurring workplace issues
  • Strengthening grievance mechanisms in line with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and International Labour Organization (ILO) principles
  • Integrating safeguarding measures related to child labour, sexual harassment, freedom of association, and retaliation risks
  • Conducting objective grievance investigations and determining appropriate remedies
  • Improving grievance documentation, monitoring, and record-keeping practices
  • Developing practical factory-level action plans to strengthen grievance handling systems and worker trust

Dates: 18–19 June 2026

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Venue: Sedona Hotel, Yangon

Recommended Participants

Factories are encouraged to nominate up to three participants, preferably:

  • HR Manager or Compliance Manager
  • Production Supervisor / Chief Supervisor
  • Workplace Coordination Committee (WCC) Worker Representative

Training Fee

MMK 200,000 per participant for the two-day training programme.
