Implementing Social Compliance Training (Batch 2)
The MADE in Myanmar SMART Factories Programme is pleased to invite garment factories to participate in our upcoming Implementing Social Compliance training.
This three-day training is designed to strengthen participants' understanding of social compliance requirements and support the effective implementation of management systems that promote legal compliance, worker wellbeing, and responsible business practices. Through practical exercises, group discussions, role-play activities, and experience sharing, participants will gain the knowledge and tools needed to establish safer, more productive, and socially responsible workplaces.

Course Topics
- Introduction to social compliance
- General management systems
- Prevention of child and young worker employment
- Working hours, remuneration, and disciplinary practices
- Grievance mechanisms, freedom of association, leave, and holidays
- Discrimination, harassment, and business partner responsibilities
- Fire, electrical, machine, and chemical safety
- Personal protective equipment and working conditions
- Environmental and occupational health and safety (EHS) management
Learning Outcomes
Participants will learn how to:
- Understand national legal requirements and international social compliance standards.
- Develop practical management policies and procedures based on workplace practices.
- Strengthen workplace cooperation and employee satisfaction.
- Improve occupational safety and health through effective management systems.
- Reduce labour disputes and workplace risks by enhancing communication and compliance practices.
